Holy Trinity Church Selected For Interfaith Documentary

Holy Trinity Church has been selected as one of a number of religious institutions in San Francisco for inclusion in a documentary entitled, “The Joy of Freedom.” Filming of the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity is scheduled for Sunday, February 26, 2006 (10:00am).

The goal of this documentary is to film the religious rites of 501.c.3 faith communities in the city and county of San Francisco and meld them into a feature length film that will show the beauty of the human spirit through worship that is protected and allowed to flourish under the freedoms granted by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

It is the hope of Dumenda Productions, the producers of this documentary, that the exposition of many and varied religious practices will promote religious tolerance and communal peace. Never, in recent history, have such blessings been more desired or needed than the present.

Holy Trinity is thankful for the occasion to offer an Orthodox Christian witness in this rich interfaith montage and to participate in a documentary which celebrates the inalienable right of freedom of worship.
