Youth Director Jacob Saylor and the rest of the paid and volunteer staffs at Holy Trinity work with the youth of the parish to form a consistent and comprehensive approach to Youth Ministry. Regular Youth Advisory Ministry meetings serve to integrate the Sunday School, Greek Dance, Athletic, Acolyte, YAM (Young Adult Ministry), OYM (Orthodox Youth Ministry), and Youth Choir ministries. Teachers, coaches, dance instructors, and youth workers see themselves as evangelists, role models, and mentors. Teens work with adults to create and carry out the Youth Ministry vision for our parish.
Jacob's office is in the Christopher Center. He can be reached by emailing youth@holytrinitysf.org. Jacob joined our staff in late August 2011. He is the Bay Area's only full-time Orthodox Christian youth director. Besides meeting with youth and parents formally and informally at the Center, he wants to get to know our families better by visiting them at their homes--so please, invite him for a visit.
Jacob will be serving with other members of our leadership team to help make our existing youth ministries as strong as possible. Additionally, he will be working in the coming months to build up a comprehensive teen ministry and establish campus, grade school, and young adult ministries.
