Nikiforos the leper (+1964)

Born in Crete, St. Nikiforos contracted leprosy at a young age and spent much of his life in leper colonies. Despite his suffering, he radiated joy and spiritual wisdom. His cell became a refuge for those seeking counsel, and many experienced his miraculous intercessions. He bore his affliction without complaint and is now a powerful intercessor for those enduring illness or isolation

porphyrios of kafskokalyvia (+1991)

A spiritual giant of the 20th century, St. Porphyrios combined deep monastic humility with profound spiritual insight. He lived quietly on Mount Athos and later near Athens, where he counseled thousands. He had the gifts of foresight and healing, and taught that true spiritual life must be filled with love, joy, and simplicity in Christ.

Sophia of Kleisoura (+1974)

An ascetic and spiritual mother in northern Greece, St. Sophia lived a life of obscurity and deep prayer in the Monastery of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Kleisoura. Clothed in rags and sleeping little, she offered silent prayer for the world. She was known for her prophetic gifts and maternal presence to all who visited her.

Methodia of kimolos (+1908)

A solitary nun from the island of Kimolos, St. Methodia spent her life in constant prayer and fasting. She was known for her warm hospitality, even in extreme poverty, and her deep reverence for the Theotokos. Her holy life became known after her repose, and she is remembered for her inner stillness and spiritual wisdom

Evmenios the New (+1999)

A modern-day confessor and spiritual father, St. Evmenios ministered for decades in a leper hospital in Athens. A spiritual child of St. Nikiforos the Leper, he was filled with joy, humility, and radiant love. He embraced the suffering of others and healed many through his intercessions and deep faith in Christ.

anthimos of chios (+1960)

An abbot and wonderworker from the island of Chios, St. Anthimos restored monastic life at the Monastery of Panagia Voitheia. He was known for his love of the poor, his patience with the sick, and his ability to heal both physical and spiritual afflictions. He led with gentleness and is venerated throughout Greece for his miracles and holiness.

Nicholas planas (+1932)

A simple parish priest in Athens who was entirely devoted to the Divine Liturgy, often celebrating for hours every day. St. Nicholas Planas was humble, meek, and full of compassion. Despite being mocked and overlooked, he was a spiritual pillar whose prayers and spiritual presence transformed countless lives. He is a model of pastoral love and quiet holiness.
